Imagine my delight one October day in 2004 when I stumbled into the S’Amuser store in Glastonbury: a sumptuous interior with hostesses rather than sales staff proffering fragrant hot chocolate along with their considerable knowledge or all things related to creating your own candle, incense or perfume.

That day I sat at the S’Amuser counter with every sense at once stimulated and soothed while I calmly made my own scented candle. On the second day I made my own incense. On the third day I unleashed the artiste within while selecting blends to make a perfume expressing the very essence of my personality. Wherever I travel in the world my S’Amuser perfumer comes too.

My only regret is that if in London or New York I can’t walk to a S’Amuser counter for the heavenly experience that is surely the future of perfumery."
